How to improve rap skills

I have been asked by several different people how I got to where I am today as a rapper.  To any aspiring rapper, the road's not easy.  It takes hard work, persistance, and dedication to really get great at the craft.  The way I started was by freestyling with a couple of my friends and I believe that's the best way to get great as a rapper when your first starting out.  I say that because when you freestyle, you have to think of metaphors in a very short amount of time because it's all off the top of the head.  If you freestyle for a couple months, like I did, without writing anything down on paper, your flow will sound great and when you actually decide to start writing your metaphors they will be amazing.  You can check out any of my songs on youtube and I provided the video down below to show you my progress.
